There is currently no indication of misappropriation or unauthorized use of user assets. The current situation primarily arises from structural pressures related to earlier-stage business expansion and product structure design, including: High-yield product obligations In the early stage of platform development, certain staking and fund-based wealth management products were launched with relatively high annualized yield structures. At a time when the platform’s ecosystem and revenue-generating mechanisms were not yet fully established, these commitments placed sustained pressure on the platform’s liquidity management. Historical impact from the GameFi segment The GameFi segment previously incurred material losses due to risks associated with third-party game projects. The platform maintained operational continuity of the segment in order to ensure continuity of user services. As a result, historical exposures within the segment continued to offset incoming user funds and trading activity, limiting its ability to achieve self-sustaining operation and contributing to ongoing liquidity consumption. Strategic Restructuring and Business Optimization Progress To address the above structural issues, Websea is progressing capital introduction, asset restructuring, and business optimization initiatives, with the objective of mitigating systemic risk and supporting the restoration of normal platform operations in a sustainable manner. Strategic investment and capital restructuring To further strengthen the platform’s capital base and long-term operational capability, Websea is currently in discussions with multiple institutional investors. Preliminary cooperation understandings have been reached with certain parties. Due diligence and related commercial negotiations are ongoing in an orderly manner. The purpose of the capital introduction is to enhance financial stability, optimize the asset structure, and support the platform’s restructuring and recovery under more sustainable conditions.
