We’ve released our 35th annual report “Death on the Job: The Toll of Neglect.” 5,070 workers died on the job in 2024. Every worker should be able to go home safe and healthy after their shift, but the Trump admin is putting workers at greater risk. aflcio.org/press/releases…

Workers Memorial Day is a reminder that every worker has the right to come home safe at the end of the workday. Today we honor those we’ve lost on the job, and recommit to fighting for stronger protections, safer workplaces, and dignity for every worker. aflcio.org/about-us/confe…

On April 28, the unions of the AFL-CIO pause to remember and honor workers killed on the job and call for safe workplaces for all. In Wisconsin, 109 workers died on the job in 2024 and some 57,500 workers reported serious injury or illness from unsafe workplaces.
