They've been doing this for awhile unfortunately--the breathing animations for the item-shop and other breathing animations across the game used to use something called Spine Animations which are still still images that are morphed and animated usually by a human, but they replaced those with video files they can generate with AI. (less efficient disk space wise btw)

Netease is slowly implementing more AI into a lot of their games, taking away job opportunities from workers that produced great content for them for years. I really advise Marvel Rivals fans to start standing up against this, IDV fans have for a month now with silence from them.
