Last night I took this photo of M13 in my back garden. M13 is a globular cluster which is a dense region of very old stars packed tightly together. M13 is approximately 24,000 light years from Earth. Which means the light in this image is 24,000 years old… Pretty cool eh? #astronomy #seestars50

西オーストラリア遠征も残すところあと2晩となりました。昨夜は雨でしたが夜明け前に晴れ間の時間があり、「天の川X」を撮りました。南緯30.5°のこの地ではちょうど今ごろの季節の薄明開始直前に、銀河中心部が天頂付近に達します。黄道光がほぼ天頂までのびているということですね。 それにしてもSIGMA15mmF1.4Artは神レンズです。絞り開放でも、周辺までほぼ収差を感じない写りで、20秒露光ならノイズ低減処理もほぼ不要、赤道儀なしの固定撮影でも星はなんとか点に写ります（等倍で見ると少し流れています）。 Nikon Z5II SIGMA15mmF1.4Art対角魚眼 ISO1600 F1.4 20秒露光 Lee No1フィルター 三脚固定

M81 and M82, captured with Seestar S30 Pro under dark skies. After two nights of travel and acquisition from Àger and Prades, under Bortle 3–4 skies, the result brings together in a single frame the calm symmetry of M81 and the restless energy of M82. Beyond the galaxies themselves, one of the most rewarding parts of this field is the sheer density of stars and the amount of faint background signal surrounding them, which gives the whole frame a real sense of depth. This image was built from 1000 × 30s exposures, for a total integration time of 8h 20m, including 792 frames with IRCUT and 208 with LP filter. Stacked, calibrated, and processed with PixInsight.
