We're excited to announce the completion of an outdoor wellbeing space for @NorthMidNHS staff.🏋️‍♂️ Thanks to support from the Charities Aid Foundation, we’ve provided new equipment and fitness activities like yoga and Zumba.

Our amazing young volunteers have been learning how to safely guide patients and visitors with visual impairments. We delivered a bespoke training session for them incorporating special glasses that simulate various eye conditions.🧵

A suite of state-of-the art imaging equipment has been installed at the Royal Free Hospital which will deliver more accurate diagnoses and detect disease earlier for our patients. The upgrades include three X-ray machines, three CT scanners, and one MRI scanner, which feature the latest advancements in imaging technology. The new equipment provides higher resolution images and faster scan times enabling the radiology team to diagnose 11,000 more patients every year. Earlier equitable diagnosis is a key priority of the trust’s new clinical strategy. By focussing on detecting and preventing diseases at an early stage, we can improve outcomes for patients and reduce pressure on our emergency departments. Thank you so much to our volunteer David Hogan for raising £127 by completing a sponsored walk on Hampstead Heath. David has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. He decided to fundraise for the charity by walking up Parliament Hill alongside our charity musician Matt Smith.🧵

Lydia and her friends have been helping to keep their classmates cool during the heatwave with their charity ice lolly sale. They raised a fantastic £470 by selling ice lollies and encouraging students to wear non-uniform for a small fee. Thank you to everyone who donated! 💙🍦

We have funded improvements to the vascular and amputee patient gym at the Royal Free Hospital as part of our latest round of grants aimed at enhancing patient experience. 🧵

A project funded by us is set to make it easier for people with learning disabilities in Camden and Islington to access cancer screening. The £350k grant will help tackle the barriers that often prevent or deter people with learning disabilities from getting these vital checks.🧵
