Pls share to stop confusion. THERE IS NO £2,500 CAP ON ENERGY BILLS. Instead the new 1 Oct guarantee, like the old caps, limits - Daily charge (28p gas, 46p elec) - & Unit rates (10p/kWh gas, 34p/kWh elec) So use more, pay more. £2,500 is just what someone with avg use'd pay

YOUR ENERGY BILLS WILL NOT BE CAPPED AT £2500. THAT’S JUST AN AVERAGE NUMBER AND IT’S VERY CONFUSING. THE CAP IS ON THE AMOUNT YOU CAN PAY PER UNIT OF ENERGY YOU USE AND THE AMOUNT YOU PAY EACH DAY TO ACCESS ENERGY. BUT THE MORE ENERGY YOU USE THE MORE IT WILL COST YOU.

In the long run, we need to get as many heat pumps into homes as possible, but unless you’re already looking at replacing your boiler, that may be quite costly. This is a great way to save gas and money now:
