A mind file is a hash of the participant’s brain that is used in a generative program created by CAINE to create a character in the circus. #TADC
yolk@yyolk

Addendum - the file size is bytes so it’s consistently the same size on disk. Let’s assume it’s 512 bytes sectors based on the smallest file size being 512. I’m not satisfied with the `dd` method but the “scan” producing a “seed” is sound. Instead of a “block” copy I think it’s more like a “hash” so that the output is consistent and would always generate the same size mind file. A hash of 230Kb is pretty large! A program that can use this special hash algorithm to create a character would make sense authored solely by an AI You also can’t reverse a hash, mathematically it’s one way (assuming typical approaches). It could maybe also explain missing memories or things like their name; since the name is assigned at run time it wouldn’t be a core program component to recall. Human brains’ memories are reconstructed when they’re recalled. A hash explains the consistent file size, it being a one-way process, the SOMA theory (combined with an AI capable of constructing a program that can use that hash from the headset to create a character from a mind file that has the ability to recall themselves putting on the headset and some core memories.) It would also explain why Caine can’t just make new human mind files and that the characters are a result of human scans, since changing any character in the resulting hash plus changing any other character would change the result in a way that can be predicted with there being too many combinations for any computer typical of the time or today. The hash must be created by hardware that exists in the real world. Caine has a strong understanding of creating NPCs and it wouldn’t be a stretch to see him creating a scaffolding (generative program) that is seeded from a mind file (atomic hash of reading the brain) The headset also has what appears to be laser warnings which would be antithetical for something you put over your eyes I would normally believe. I have no idea if a laser could be used to map anything but can imagine stimulating the retina directly in some trade secret process to make a “mind file” (brain hash)

These are all the same file size which if two are human brain scans that are like a `dd` block copy process, which is always reading in “byte for byte” what’s there; that would indicate if two are brain scans the third is as well. “Paraphernalia Engine”, reminds me of the movie and book “Altered States”, maybe one of the CA employees scanning themselves when using 💊 and may explain the vivid colors and free association. If I were to guess, paraphernalia engine is Kinger looking for edge cases gave the system a scan of a brain while on drugs that people take for “enhancing creativity”. ~ 234 kilobytes is pretty small I assume for an entire brain scan but maybe actually pretty big for the 90s. The .dat files are brain scans (SOMA theory). These could be what Caine refers to as mind files. These mind files small size could be explained as a seed for a generative program that creates the encapsulation for the character in the circus. The generative program that Caine created refers to as “a program for encapsulating the mind files of humans.” Essentially a seed for a neural network creation that can express a character that acts like the person who was scanned. Caine’s Lisp program is much larger, and would make sense if this was also a program to feed a generative program for an exponentially bigger neural network. #TADC

Finished in 50m26s, 7 minutes faster than a human’s world record. Last year the first place robot runner finished in 2h40m. A 3.1x speed increase.

What I think is going on here is that the green eye is 🟡 - 🔴 = 🟢 The red channel is removed here possibly to symbolize Caines control removed from what was his left eye The green eye is usually bigger than the blue eye too, which can explain two AIs occupying the space of one versus the blue eye which is just Able ≈ 🔵 | 🟡-🔴 = 🔵 | 🟢

It might be possible that when Kinger was scanned he was testing the machine with a “scratch” file, something that was supposed to be a test, but turned out to be functional. I still think paraphernalia engine is a brain scan based on the consistent file size and I think it could be that the circus itself is the program expressing a mind file as an environment. When Kinger was trying to delete that file he was blocked from doing so. I also want to mention when he runs the greenGROUNDS program he does so with long-option daemon mode and forks it to the background so he can continue to do things while it attempts to start up and restarts itself if it were to be killed or crash (implied by daemon mode).

Kinger before entering the light and forgetting, he reached out with his left hand, which I could possibly relate to certain aspects of split brain syndrome like interpreter effect and alien hand syndrome but I don’t know if Kinger has a right hemisphere or not.

Is Kinger both Scratch and himself? A probably impossible speculation that can reconcile Scratch being the first abstraction and Kinger
