I kept an eye on my blood pressure for months, while reducing salt, cutting off soda from my diet and taking on exercise seriously. I had to lose over 20kg of my body weight For close to three years! This was after starting drugs and yet it kept spiking from time to time.

Fast forward to this morning after I had to resign and put my health first. I checked my blood pressure this morning with my Omron m7 that I got from @healthaceng and it was within normal ranges. Forgive me if I'm emotional but I know how much work it took to bring it down

It took me passing out at work one day to know I was at my limit, I checked my blood pressure after that ordeal and it was way too high 180/120mmHg for a 27 year old man! One of my parents is hypertensive with numerous uncles and aunts so yes! Family history yapa.

I used to take 3 bottles of soda a day, at least one energy drink every other sat, I wasn't exercising, My excuse was "I'm too busy" and yes I was, seeing up to 60 patients a day, it made sense to say that. But I was slowly dying Add that to the fact that I weight over 100kg

At one point, I was working in 3 different hospitals and living out of my bag I told myself I was hustling, that sleep was for the weak and poor. Until my blood pressure got so high that I would have had a stroke. I was only 27 then. Take it easy. Know when to rest
