@cesalozada Hopefully, this sheds some light on your concerns, and we'd love the opportunity to talk to you further about the research that has guided our decision to invest directly in shifting on-farm practices. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to learn more!

So @zerofoodprint works with restaurants such as Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar in Boulder to offset its carbon footprint by charging its customers an extra dollar to every check. The restaurant’s wine menu offers only ONE option from the US. #greenwashing anybody?

@cesalozada Each contribution from a diner at a 1% member goes to regional farmers, increasing the local supply of regenerative products. Guests dining with our partners are always given the opportunity to opt out from donating to ZFP if they choose to.

@cesalozada Through small donations across the food system, like the ones from Jax Fish House, we’re able to fund farming projects that focus on restoring soil health, helping to draw carbon from the atmosphere and store it underground.

Small tax on extreme wealth is enough for 100% energy transition.

In Y2, purists would say keep the cow on grass and eat less beef. A capitalist: $ saved on feed and can still corn finish! A pragmatist: fatter cows after Y1 means less feed, crowding, antibiotics etc. But we must all be for the benefits of regen grazing, even if you’re anti-beef

Super psyched by this Fungal dominant compost trial in CO: youtu.be/JGxSDhnvUUc "Two pounds of fungal dominant compost mixed with 20 gallons of water replaced 140lbs of nitrogen fertilizer on a conventional corn farm.”

So we partner with these jurisdictions to help them meet their requirements by paying for a portion of farmers’ compost. We call it Compost Connector.

New compost regulations in CA could be the biggest regenerative ag policy in the US. Still, SB 1383 is far from perfect.
