@KirstieMAllsopp When my lovely dog had a fit she never came round from, the emergency vet’s 1st question was had she had a flea treatment or worming tablet in the last four weeks. Which she had. From that day, we have never given our pets either treatment & our vets never question why.

How had I missed this? Pet Flea treatments are very bad for bees, rivers & lakes and should be avoided if at all possible. Flea-mergency: Pet treatments taking a bite out of… | The Rivers Trust theriverstrust.org/about-us/news/…

@SueHadley @Sophielou2505 @YourSouthend I wasn’t judging you, your initial comments weren’t compassionate. And, if you’ve not had reason to call upon the air ambulance, consider yourself lucky Sue. They’re an amazing charity.

@SueHadley @Sophielou2505 @YourSouthend I really hope you or your family never need the assistance of the air ambulance Sue. From personal experience, they do incredible work. Have some compassion, and be a nicer person.

Latest: An Air Ambulance has landed in Shoebury after a runner collapsed near the finish line of the Southend Half Marathon. Ten paramedics are at the scene giving the patient emergency treatment. Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a service provided by a charity. The free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles in the hours of darkness.

@churchills1231 @JacquiDeevoy1 The cause of someone’s death does not need discussing. Speculation helps no one, least of all the relatives.

@appyman @JacquiDeevoy1 It’s actually not thoughtful at all. Everyone jumps to conclusions and when you’re right there in the shock that your person has died suddenly, the last thing you want is people discussing what the cause may or may not be. Let me tell you, it hurts.

@_itsalabthing @JacquiDeevoy1 Hopefully it will change and the jabs will be stopped… that’s why we ask these questions so that no one else has to cope with a sudden loss like this!! It is not cruel and very thoughtful. The reasons need to be established before too many more suffer in the same way

@MartinSLewis Not just banks & utility co, I’ve been trying to call @champneys for 3 days to make a booking as I can’t book online if I’m using my Vitality discount. Apparently they’re very busy & experiencing high volume calls because of their January sale 🤷🏼‍♀️Waited over 30 mins each time 😩

New. Please report "sorry we are experiencing unusually high call volumes" messages. I want to test if some firms have this for EVERY call. If you call a bank, broadband, mobile, credit card, energy, water, sewerage firm, pls take 30s to report it via moneysavingexpert.com/report-high-ca… In some cases it may be a breach of the consumer duty.

@mattletiss7 How does this help? Please think of his family, I’m sure they don’t need this. Speaking from personal experience, it’s upsetting & we don’t need further upset on top of the overwhelming grief, from people speculating that a vaccine may have played a part in our loved ones death.

With a very heavy heart, we announce the death of our much loved friend and colleague @emilymorganitv. She was such a beautiful person and a dear friend. As Health Editor, Emily was fearless in reporting Covid to the nation in 2020. Talented, kind, full of humanity. She was 45.

Gracie & Laura planned to get little tattoos together but Laura’s so poorly now, it’s just not possible. Gracie got hers yesterday & came back with a matching stencil for her sister. She’s the strawberry, Laura’s the apple. #SiblingLoss is a whole other level of heartbreak. 🍓🍎
