My Story: What 26,750 subs looks like on Kick.
When I was in High school my mother was dying of Stage 4 colon cancer. She only had 60 days to live, and I remember coming home from school, playing video games and staying inside because I did not want to talk to anyone. I remember visiting the hospital after school sitting next to my mother's death bed thinking, is this the last day I will ever get to see my mother. I remember the Dr. telling us it's over, the cancer has spread too big. I remember crying playing video games because it was the only thing, I can do to keep from jumping into oncoming traffic because I felt like dying.
While the Dr. gave us a rough estimate of about 60 days left, my mother looked at me and said I am 100% walking out of here fully healed. We thought she was talking crazy, she weighed 65 pounds, the cancer was the size of a soft-ball, stage 4 colon cancer, she is dead. During this time my family went bankrupt, my father was run over by a drunk driver while riding his bicycle, my brother popsicles who plays with me was blown up in the military serving for our country, his Humvee was hit by an IED. All of these events forced me to either quit with life or making something of myself.
One day she woke up and the cancer was gone, a true miracle, no one to this day knows how. It was as if God said, your time is not up yet. 10 years later she is still with us, but she is 70% deaf, the Kemo-therapy really beat her body up. She can't really work many places because she can't hear, even when I have conversations with her, she never understands fully what I am saying, and it is extremely difficult.
My father ended up having neck surgery and has limited range of motion but still does everything he can to work, refused disability for many years because he did not want to feel like he gave up. My entire life my father worked morning until night at a pace that was unreal, and he taught me to never ever stop working, regardless of the circumstances, keep moving forward. My brother popsicles has 70-85% disability from the explosions, back issues, ptsd, the story he told was heart wrenching.
Each one of my family members are still standing today, although we lost everything, we always still had one another. Even in the darkest times when I was switching from fb to kick, I remember my mother saying, "I will walk out of here fully healed."
My Motivation for streaming every day is to take care of my deaf mother, help my father when he needs, and keep a close relationship with my brother popsicklez who fought for this country.
Since being with kick for the past 5 months, I have been able to hand my mother money to pay the bills anytime she needs. We have given $15,000 plus to my community and I have been able to help more people than I can even imagine. We have hosted tournaments, we have paid for funerals, we have given away 40 consoles, we have done all I can do for now.
None of this would be possible without kicks 95-5 payout structure. Kick has truly changed my life and if you have been on the fence about what platform to stream on, just remember, if the platform really cares about you, they won't take 50% of your pay.
Kick allowed me to do more for my family than any other platform, this is why I am getting my corvette wrapped in kick colors.
If you are struggling right now, as my mother said on her death bed, "I will be fully healed". You need to do the same thing, speak positive over your situation, do not quit, regardless of your circumstances. YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS.
