I wrote about ICE killings and the normalization of mass incarceration and police violence. In 2026, at least 32 people have died so far at the hands of ICE and Border Patrol—more than one person a week, on pace to break all records. [Link in comments]

The advocacy group Ohio Immigrant Alliance released a list of 59 active and former ICE and CBP agents charged with sexual and violent crimes between 2007 and 2026. Fifty of 59 cases the group documented were sex crimes, many of them committed against children. motherjones.com/politics/2026/…

In Texas, a Border Patrol agent was just indicted by a local grand jury for aggravated assault for running down a migrant with his car on January 31, 2025. Video from a homeowner showed the agent driving straight into a man who was calmly walking on the side of the road.
