I didn’t see a single “it’s gonna be May” meme this year which is personally a massive relief, but culturally a signifier of something much darker.

Interesting theory bruv🔥 The idea that Yue was supposed to be the next Water Tribe Avatar (after Aang) but got spiritually "hollowed out" because Aang was frozen and the cycle glitched is actually pretty clever. Her birth scene with the closed eyes + the whole "she has no spirit" thing always felt like more than just random tragedy. But I think the canon explanation still holds stronger: the Avatar Spirit (Raava) stays with the current Avatar until they actually die. Aang being frozen didn't kill him, so the cycle didn't move on. Yue's connection was purely to the Moon Spirit (Tui), which is why sacrificing herself to replace Tui worked perfectly. Still, it's a dope "what if" would’ve been wild seeing a Moon-powered Avatar bending water + having that spiritual emptiness resolved in a different way. The writers love tragic water tribe girls carrying cosmic burdens 😭
