Imam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: "It is a Sunnah to be happy and enjoy oneself on the Day of Eid." [Majmoo' al-Fataawa (24/211)]

I was shocked when I found out that the Prophet ﷺ used to ask Allah for 47 requests in a single supplication!! A supplication that might take just one minute of your time, containing 47 requests - imagine that!!

The Khateeb of the Day of Arafah, Sheikh Dr. Ali Al Hudhaify: ‘O Allah, accept from the pilgrims their supplications and rituals, make their affairs easy for them, forgive their sins, and return them to their homelands safe, blessed, and successful.’

Anas ibn Malik narrated: It was said that during the [first] 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, each day is like 1,000 [days], and the Day of 'Arafah is like 10,000 days, in terms of virtue. Al-Jāmiʿ li Shuʿab al-Īmān (5/3488)

Not only Allah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year on the day of Arafah He also frees people from the hellfire on this day. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “There is no day upon which Allah frees more of His servants from the Hellfire than the day of Arafat. He draws near and then he boasts of them to the angels, saying: What do these servants want?” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1348]

al-Awza’ee (رحمه الله) said: I realized that people were reserving things (their duas, needs, wishes) for the day of ‘Arafah to ask Allāh for them. And some of them used to say: “For fifty years I have been supplicating (making du’ā) on the day

Atā bin Abī Muslim رحمه الله said: “If you are able to seclude yourself (for worship) on the evening of ‘Arafah, then do so!” [Zawā’id Az-Zuhd, 2211]

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said: "The fact that not all Muslims around the world participate in Hajj every year is actually a mercy from Allah." [Lataaif al-Ma'arif pg. 386]

Uqbah ibn al-Ḥārith said: “I saw Abu Bakr — may Allah be pleased with him — carrying Al-Hasan ibn Ali while saying: ‘May my father be sacrificed for him — he resembles the Prophet, not Ali ibn Abi Talib.’ And Ali was laughing.” [Sahih al-Bukhari 3750]

The Prophet ﷺ said: I have been granted five privileges which were not granted to anyone before me: I have been supported with awe-striking terror cast into the hearts of my enemies for the distance of a month’s journey. The earth has been made for me a place of prostration and a means of purification, so whichever man from my nation finds the time of prayer has come upon him, let him pray. The spoils of war have been rendered lawful for me whereas they were never permitted for anyone before me. I have been granted the right of ultimate intercession.
