Congratulations to Ellison’s (@EllisonLady_BB) Jadesola Oladipo on her Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State selection! Oladipo earned second-team honors, showcasing her ability to balance her responsibilities in the class room and on the court. To be considered for THSCA Academic All-State a senior must be nominated by a THSCA member, in good standing with the team and have an overall grade point average of 92 or above –– including courses from ninth-grade through 11th grade and courses completed in 12th grade. This year for the Lady Eagles, Oladipo eclipsed 1,000 career points and was named first team All-District 16-5A. #WeAreKISD

Five Killeen ISD student-athletes over the weekend at the Class 6A/5A Division I Region II competition in Del Valle hoisted some heavy weight and qualified for the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association state tournament. All five secured their state spots in the unequipped field by finishing first or second in their weight class after completing lifts in three disciplines –– bench press, squat and deadlift. Killeen High’s Meleana Price was the 6A Region II 242-pound champion, while Precious Tauiliili (second, 220) and Aaliyah Abddeen (242+) also qualified for the Lady Roos who were regional runners-up as a team –– which also includeded Marianita Sanchez, Alicia Gomez and K’liyah Tripplett Shoemaker’s Alyssa Dell (second, 114) also is state bound in 6A. An Eagle's Exit: Ellison boys soccer head coach Niles Dunnells coached his final game Friday night, marking the end of an impactful 31-year career –– including 30 as head coach of the Eagles. Dunnells also played at EHS, a 1989 grad before suiting up at Hardin-Simmons. Congrats, Coach, and enjoy the retirement! #WeAreKISD

The celebration is on at Harker Heights where the boys soccer team just clinched the outright District 12-6A title!!!! The Knights sealed their championship with a 2-1 victory over visiting Temple on Thursday night to close out the regular season. Another sensational season for the Ellison Eagles boys basketball (@EHSBoys_BB) team concluded Tuesday night in a 57-43 setback against Lucas Lovejoy in the Class 5A Division II regional semifinals.
