spent the first hour laughing to the point of tears & then the last half hour was almost all tears. in awe of every line, every delivery, every expression, every seamless tonal shift… just everything, really. pretty much a perfect movie. wild watch with your divorced mom though.

THE INVITE will probably be my favorite movie of the year. Olivia Wilde seriously deserves an Oscar for both directing and her incredible performance. Hilarious, electric, sexy, and emotional all around. I can’t wait to see it again.

Just got out of The Invite and I am not exaggerating when I say this is a must watch. Dazzling performances, an impeccable flow of events, topped off with a banger soundtrack. Olivia Wilde not only directs, but also delivers a masterclass in acting. One of the best of the year!

the invite goes wide today and it’s my favorite film of the year! i think it’s olivia's love letter to getting through it and coming out on the other side a woman who knows herself and what she knows life can be. it’s funny, it’s smart and it’s amazing with a crowd <3

loved THE INVITE even more on a second watch. I love how Olivia Wilde’s blouse is the exact same color as the walls of her house showing how she’s almost disappearing or blending in there. And both her and Seth Rogen’s shirt being the two colors that they can’t decide between for the walls.

but seriously the invite was such a good theater experience. a small cinema, a mature audience and everyone was genuinely laughing their ass off. truly one of the most incredibly enjoyable watches in recent years.
