🪩 🌈 A trip to the hospital can feel overwhelming - especially for #WolfsonWarriors who experience the world a little differently.
That's why we created a sensory-friendly space in our perioperative area, designed to bring comfort, calm and a sense of control to anxious kids. With soothing lighting, interactive sensory features and a thoughtfully designed environment with neurodivergent kids in mind, this sensory room helps to reduce anxiety and gain a sense of control in an unfamiliar environment. 💪
You might even spot a familiar, comforting face in the room - our facility dog, Jude 🐾 - who helps bring an extra layer of calm and connection for patients when they need it most.
For kids who are neurodiverse or feeling anxious before a procedure, even small adjustments like keeping lights dim or keeping doors shut can make a big difference. And for families, it means knowing their child is being cared for in a way that truly sees and supports them.
All of our #WolfsonWarriors deserve to feel safe, understood and at ease - especially in moments that matter most. 🏥 ❤️
