@Xcelencia The entire registration flow, messaging, unlock delivery is built on Openstage. We give full customization so we're powering their platform, not a profile photo on ours.

@AbelowRob is this on the same site she launched and
integrated openstage on backend?

@DerekHoiem Thanks for the check-in man. It’s appreciated. Deep diving into something and have taken a content break.

@iamjackstephens Definitely distinct problems, altho it’s not really on Ticketmaster to solve demand growth.

"He also noted that 90% of shows sold via Ticketmaster do not sell out."
Fans and the press love to focus on the Oasis and Taylor Swift moments when demand outstrips supply, but the above stat is where the industry needs the most help

So many music tech startups pivot to building for "all creators" and it's a mistake.
I get it:
- "Music isn't big enough"
- You need a bigger TAM
- You need to sell it to your investors
But artists aren't like "all creators".
Music is different. It's distinct.
Artists require purpose-built tools to address their unique workflows, goals, and challenges.
Generic, one-size-fits-all solutions won’t cut it.
And today, more than ever, you must show artists that you actually, truly, authentically give a cr@p about their problems.
The moment you shift to building for podcasters, YouTubers, and influencers—chasing that TAM investors keep pushing—you abandon the product and mission that connects with artists.
If you build for everyone, you build for no one.
Have some conviction.
PS: This goes for basically any vertical. I don't care what your eventual plan for world domination is, you better start with a narrow customer profile and solve the hell out of their problems first.

@palaangelino Yes, when your music tech startup hits 550m subscribers you can also begin going lateral lol

@Marc_Brownstein @geyanastasio What app are you using to track this?
English

@geyanastasio You’ll feel at home at the biscuits. We skew a little younger despite being a little older ourselves.

This remains the blueprint.
@vaultdotfm lets any artist create their own Fred Again fanbase.
So stoked to share this with the world.
