We are a platform, a training ground, and a sounding board for our brave artists who are standing on the frontlines of change. Are you brave enough to stand with them?

Art is a powerful tool for inclusion. At the National accessArts Centre, people with disabilities have space to create, connect, and thrive. Great to see their new home taking shape—building the world’s first accessible, disability-focused arts campus in the heart of Calgary.

Thank you for visiting us — and for your support, Minister @MarcMillerVM!
JS Ryu@JSRyu2025

Yesterday, we welcomed the Honourable @MarcMillerVM, Minister of @CdnHeritage, to the NaAC's Visual Arts Studios in #yyc, and also to our Trico Communities Arts Centre development (funded in part by the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund). We were proud to showcase the breadth of our Professional Track(TM) programs, made possible by ongoing investments from the Canada Arts Training Fund. #yycarts

@JSRyu2025 @AccessArtsCA What an amazing highlight reel of accomplishments in 2025 for @AccessArtsCA as Canada's oldest and largest disability arts organization! As Aristotle said, "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance." 🎨💚 ^BH

Today, on #IDPD2025, we commend members of #yyccc for their leadership + unanimous support for an increased $300K investment in the revitalization of the old Scouts Hall, the site of our new @AccessArtsCA campus. This brings the @cityofcalgary’s total investment to more than $4.9M, supporting our charity as we navigate cost increases + accessibility requirements related to this meaningful project. A huge thanks to Councillors @RobWardCGY + @mykeatkinson, as well as Mayor @JeromyYYC for their advocacy in making this happen. Now, let’s get the job done!

Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the NaAC @AccessArtsCA proudly announced a $1.5 million, three-year investment from @TD_Canada in support of our programs across Canada - the largest investment TD has made in Western Canada, and the largest corporate investment in the history of disability arts in this country. To mark this historic milestone, we were pleased to host senior leaders from across TD in Calgary, including Robert Ghazal, Senior Vice President and Region Head for Alberta; Michelle Mobarrez, District Vice President; Sandy Janjua, District Vice President; Kayleah Jansen, District Vice President; Sarah Kramer, District Vice President; Curtis Sands, District Vice President and Member of the NaAC's Board of Directors; and Blake Heynen, Manager, Community Engagement. We were also joined by the Honourable Lois Mitchell, the NaAC's Honorary Patron and 18th Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. This investment comes at a pivotal moment for our organization, as we scale our operations, begin our move to our new accessible arts campus in Calgary, and deliver projects with true national reach and impact. Through the NaAC’s training and creation platforms, new artists’ careers will be launched - and Canada’s arts and culture landscape will be stronger and more diverse because of it. Thank you, TD. accessarts.ca/news/td/

Earlier this week at the National accessArts Centre, I was proud to highlight how Budget 2025’s Build Communities Strong Fund is delivering for our community—including the new net-zero Multidisciplinary Disability & Community Arts Hub. Together we’re building a strong, inclusive Canada 🇨🇦
