🇺🇸UPDATE: Texas Vietnam War Airman Accounted For — Services This Month
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency says U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. James H. Calfee, of Boling, Texas, has been officially accounted for, more than 50 years after he was killed during the Vietnam War.
Calfee was among the Americans killed in a 1968 attack at Lima Site 85 in Laos. After decades of investigation, recovery missions, and DNA testing, his remains were positively identified in 2025.
🕊 Funeral services are planned for next month
📍 Evergreen Memorial Park – Wharton, TX
🗓 January 13, 2026 | 11 a.m.
Boling, TX, is a small community located in Wharton County about 60 miles southwest of Houston.
His name will now be permanently marked as accounted for on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
