India’s clean energy transition is entering a new phase, powered not just by renewable generation, but by reliable renewable delivery. Adani Green Energy has commissioned 3.37 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) capacity at Khavda, Gujarat, marking the world’s largest single-location deployment outside China, delivered in a record 10 months. BESS operates like a large-scale power bank which stores clean energy when it is abundant and enables using it during peak demand. The project can power nearly 1 million homes for an entire day, strengthening grid stability, enabling peak demand management, and ensuring uninterrupted clean power availability as India scales its renewable energy ambitions. With plans to add over 10 GWh in FY27 and scale to 50 GWh over the next five years, we are building the infrastructure backbone for round-the-clock renewable energy. On International Labour Day, Chairman Gautam Adani reiterated his belief that the Adani Group’s journey is powered by its people. The group has nearly 4,00,000 employees, partners and contractors who work across 700+ sites in 24 states. The Chairman outlined the Group’s focus on simplifying the organisational structure to enable faster decision making, strengthening partnerships and continuous learning and development for people to grow and thrive.
