MV Parvaraj, carrying 53,300 MT of maize, was flagged off from Adani Krishnapatnam Port, supporting Andhra Pradesh’s farming community during the harvest season. Vizhinjam welcomed MSC MICOL, one of the world’s largest container vessels, measuring 400m in length and carrying over 24,000 TEUs. Arriving from Singapore and heading onward to Tema, Ghana after transshipment, the vessel call highlights Vizhinjam’s ability to handle ultra-large container ships with seamless efficiency. APSEZ’s marine arm, Astro Offshore, has entered into a contract with Oceaneering International Inc. to support its European subsea expansion. Strengthening its deepwater capabilities, Astro Offshore has added Energy Savanah (to be renamed Astro Atlas)—a modern 97-metre DP2 multipurpose support vessel—equipped for complex offshore operations, including subsea construction, cable laying and pipeline installation. A significant step forward in building a globally competitive marine and subsea platform.
