The @AFResearchLab, a SMART Sponsoring Facility, is advancing lifesaving medical technology with its mobile medical documentation tool now being tested by Maryland State Police flight paramedic crews. The Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit (BATDOK) helps medics monitor patients, complete documentation, and support decision making in real time as they transport injured individuals to trauma centers. This is the first time BATDOK is being used in civilian operations in the U.S. “We are proud to deliver this technology to military and now civilian medics, helping to save lives on the battlefield and beyond,” said Brig.
