@keithdorejel Michigan Compiled Laws § 333.17011 — prohibits practicing medicine without a license and also restricts use of the titles “Doctor of Medicine” and “M.D.” unless properly licensed or authorized in Michigan.

A license permits someone awarded a "Doctorate of Medicine" (read that again because it came first) to PRACTICE medicine in a given locality. Whether the person chooses to practice does not remove the "Doctor" title. The was earned.

@fuqekgs Idk if I agree with this, it does feel a little dishonest to me! Even as a medical student that has to wear the short coat sometimes, seeing that ad would make me think the candidate is trying to portray that they are a physician. Can imagine even more so for those outside med

I would not. I would look at his short white coat and recognize that this, right here, is a medical student. In medical school. Getting their medical degree. And, upon graduating, they become a ✨✨doctor✨✨

As a Michigander who has seen him publicly speak numerous times, hardly ever referring to himself as a doctor, I am asking you to rethink your post.

@KrimskyLeonid @AbdulElSayed I just graduated from medical school, I don’t start residency until July, and yet I still technically can call myself “doctor” having been awarded a doctorate degree. He has TWO doctorates.

@AbdulElSayed A Columbia phd in physics is not a doctor. An md degree does not make one a doctor. Post graduate training plus state licensure do… instead of opening up your mistake you repeat your lies. So it was deliberate.

@Odashara94 @AbdulElSayed He has a PhD and an MD so I’m pretty sure he gets to call himself doctor. Having seen him speak publicly numerous times, he hardly ever even calls himself “doctor” in the first place, and when he does it is always in proper context.

SSRIs are safe, effective, and save lives. More importantly, RFK Jr. has no medical background, could probably use a psych eval himself, and needs to GTFO of people's medical decisions.
