AgScape is pleased to celebrate Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (CALM) with engaging educational experiences that help students deepen their understanding of our agriculture and food system. Over the years, we have been dedicated to providing students with free programs and resources that encourage them to celebrate CALM in new and creative ways. 📝 In 2019, we launched our first Essay Competition for grades 7-12 students to share what agriculture means to them. 🎨 In 2020, we encouraged students to create their own comic exploring the story of their lunch to discover where their food comes from. 🚜 In 2021, to celebrate 10 years of CALM, we hosted two Virtual Field Trips with Farm and Food Care (@farmfoodcareon) to Aldred Maple Products and Pfisterer Farm. 🖼️ In 2023, we hosted a virtual art show and received 80 creative artwork submissions from youth. This year, we are excited to be celebrating CALM 2026 with Virtual Field Trips, TAP workshops, a Digital Educator Resource Pack, comic strip activity, and the chance to win an agriculture and food gift basket!
