4 bushels doesn’t sound flashy — until you scale it. Replicated research showed a 4 bu/ac response with Upward, and in today’s market that margin matters. Early in-furrow decisions compound across acres, and you can’t go back to planting. The full breakdown is in the comments

Dr. John Murphy from @agxplore tells a story about a farm thinking they discovered a resistant bug. After some investigation they didn't follow the label and the pesticide's efficacy was basically useless because of how they handled the product. Know what you are spraying and read your labels. Water makes up more than 95 percent of the spray solution in most applications, yet it may be the most overlooked input in crop production. In this episode of the Farm4Profit Podcast, we sit down with Dr. John Murphy and Caden Alexander from @agxplore break down why water quality can make or break your herbicide, fungicide, biological, and nutritional applications. Hardness, pH, dissolved solids, and even the source of your water can dramatically impact the performance of the products you are investing thousands of dollars in each season. Many growers assume herbicide failures or weed resistance are the problem, but the issue may actually start in the spray tank. We discuss what happens chemically when herbicides meet poor water, why mixing order matters, and how adjuvants like ammonium sulfate, buffers, and surfactants work to protect your spray solution. If water conditioning is done incorrectly or too late, herbicides can bind and become ineffective before they ever reach the field. This conversation also covers the economics behind proper water conditioning, how it may reduce resprays, protect yield, and potentially slow the development of herbicide resistance. With spray season approaching, this is an episode every applicator and grower should hear before filling the tank. Don't miss this informational episode, watch now at youtu.be/xYo8CrajC2U #farming #agriculture #farmtok #farmlife #agronomy #agtech #precisionagriculture #spraying #herbicides #cropprotection #rowcrops #agriculturelife #farmers #agronomist #ams #ammoniumsulfate #adjuvant #mso #cropoil #plant2026 #plant26 #agx #agxplore
