The Hollywood Reporter provided a status update on several Ryan Murphy TV shows: • “American Horror Stories” is in limbo. • FX has no deal in place to renew “Love Story.” Producers have not pitched or decided on a subject for a potential second season. • FX has not made a renewal or cancellation decision on “The Beauty” yet. • FX is open to renewing “Feud” and “American Crime Story” but have not been pitched new seasons of either series.

Ryan Murphy has announced the cast of “Love Story” Season 2, titled “Buckingham Nicks,” which includes Billie Lourd and Connor Storrie. It will focus on the volatile relationships that helped catapult Fleetwood Mac into global superstardom. Coming to FX in 2027.

Sarah Paulson and Pedro Pascal will reportedly star in a Broadway revival of Edward Albee’s “The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?” in January 2027. The play follows an esteemed architect who drops a bomb on his marriage and reputation by revealing he is having an affair with a goat.

“Love Story” executive producer Brad Simpson confirmed a second season is in development, but shot down writer Connor Hines’ idea of covering Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton: “We have different ideas that we’re brewing. After ‘O.J.’, we really took a swerve toward ‘Versace’ [on ‘American Crime Story’] and did something very different and didn’t just try to do another famous case. I think we’re looking at a ‘Love Story’ that is a little bit out of left field, a little bit different. That’s all I can say. I think that it’s going to be hard to top this in terms of a classic real-life couple.”

Ryan Murphy’s “The Shards” is officially set to premiere this summer on FX. Based on Bret Easton Ellis’ autofiction horror novel, “The Shards” follows LA prep school students as they grapple with sex, drugs, mysterious classmates, and a serial killer called The Trawler in 1981.

If true, “American Horror Story” would be the first series in TV history to change formats and would be the only 30-minute cable drama on the air. Ryan Murphy planned to develop a “bite-sized” horror show for the defunct streamer Quibi before signing his Netflix deal back in 2018. His recent horror drama “Grotesquerie” was also written to have half-hour episodes, but later switched to hourlong format.

“American Horror Story” Season 13 will allegedly shift to the half-hour episode format and consist of 13 episodes.

Filming has now officially wrapped for Ryan Murphy’s “The Shards” Season 1. The thriller series, based on the Bret Easton Ellis novel of the same name, stars Kaia Gerber, Igby Rigney, Homer Gere, Graham Campbell, Hayes Warner, Jordan Roth, Wes Bentley, and Evan Rachel Wood.
