#GeologyFunFact One of Algonquin Park’s most striking geological features are the “De Geer Moraines” located east of Lake Travers. These long, parallel, bouldery ridges were created when the continental glaciers were melting back several thousands years ago.

❄️ Snowshoe Rentals - Available at the East and West Gates, and the Mew Lake Campground Office. 🎿 New Airfield Ski trail - This 2.2km groomed cross-country ski trail around the Old Airfield is perfect for the novice skier. *Ski rentals are not available in the park. 3/4

🔥 Firewood - Is ONLY available for purchase during office hours. - It is available at the Mew Lake Campground Office, and the East and West Gates. ⛸️ Skating - Available, weather permitting. Please note, the large outdoor fire pit replaces the warming tent this winter. 2/4
