I think one of the biggest misconceptions about AI agents is that people see them as better chatbots. I don't. I see them as software that can eventually become independent economic participants. To make them economic participants, the x402 integration in the @injective ecosystem very much matters. Let's talk about AI agents a bit. ✧ ───── ✧ The way I see it, AI agents won't become valuable because they know more. They'll become valuable because they can do more. We've spent years teaching AI how to understand language, write code, analyze markets, and reason through problems. ➫ An AI agent can identify an arbitrage opportunity. ➫ It can identify the best opportunity in seconds. ➫ It can detect patterns across thousands of data points. ➫ It can recognize that another service has the exact capability they need. ➫ It can determine that a premium dataset would improve its prediction. ➫ It can understand market conditions better than most people. But one problem is constant, the workflow is limited. It stops every time it needs a human to approve the next step. ➫ Someone has to manage API keys. ➫ Someone has to approve the payment. ➫ Someone has to maintain subscriptions. ➫ Someone has to connect all the pieces together. That doesn't feel autonomous. That's more like AI waiting for permissions. With x402, that interaction becomes much simpler. Instead of treating payments as something separate from software, x402 makes payment part of the interaction itself. If an agent needs a dataset... It can pay for it. If it needs an API... It can pay for it. If it needs another service to complete part of a workflow... It can pay for it too The payment becomes automatic, programmable, and embedded into the request itself. Just software interacting with software. That changes how developers can build on @injective. Instead of building applications where users manually perform every action, developers can now create systems where AI agents do the work.
