This is undoubtedly one of the biggest strengths of Go 💯♥️

Everyone else: backwards compat is hard @_rsc: there are 17 edge cases. I invented new technology for 4 of them. We can do 10 more with just hard work and careful automation. I tricked Rob Pike into fixing the final 3. Go's progress in the last 2 years has been jaw dropping.

Very cool #golang new JSON v2 API proposal from @_joetsai : github.com/golang/go/disc… I've been kicking the tires a bit and it really does fix a lot of current issues, while opening up some really interesting new possibilities.

I wonder if adding SBOM/sigstore support to @cachix_org would convince self-hosted folks to use hosted binary caches?

There isn't one quote we could pick out of this interview to do it justice. If there is one interview you watch today, make it this one with @matmohoric. On n'a pas su choisir une seule citation qui rendrait hommage à l'interview. Du coup si vous devez écoutez un seul interview en entier aujourd'hui, faites en sorte que ce soit celui de @matmohoric. #TDF2023

Two ideas from today's NixOS meetup: - Nix gives you SBOMs for free (deterministic and complete!) - Bazel is Applicative, Nix is Monadic. Advantage to Bazel but only for now.
