“GENUINE attempt to catch it” referring to the diving one handed goalkeeper effort by Quinn Tupaea 🤣 Unfortunately, as seen with social media on the regular, some people show no critical thinking. Normally I wouldn’t even give it attention but this is too funny not to 😂
Soss@5sec2midnight

@AnalystGus Went backwards out of his hands. Genuine attempt to catch it unlike this one which just a knock on. Can’t have both ways.

@5sec2midnight As much as you’d like that to be the truth, it’s not.

@CMacIver11 @rwallie Correct. If it weren’t for the Irish arm, it doesn’t have anything to bounce back off onto his head.

@derekalberts1 This isn’t an interception attempt, this is a goalkeeper 😂

@AnalystGus I’m with you. These blokes are superhuman and we’ve seen some legitimate intercepts in the past pulled off with one hand. But this… 😂

Since the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Lionel Messi has either WON the World Cup, or lost to the eventual winners 🏆 Takes the best, to beat the best.

This btw, is the biggest difference between the Boks in 2019-2023 and the current Boks. The 2019-2023 Boks often struggled when making rotations or when having key players injured. The current Boks are a far more seamless transition between 1st and 2nd teamers. Not to forget Kolisi, Etzebeth, Lood, Sacha and more didn’t even featured in these two wins vs England and Scotland.

Such a strange result 🇿🇦42-28🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Both teams will come away with a lot of positives For South Africa - beating a strong for Scotland with a majority 2nd/3rd string team with a handful of 1st teamers is obviously a positive. For Scotland - arguably their best result in SA (Contextually, considering how strong the Springboks have been in recent years). And threatened for large portions of the match. Also missing Kinghorn and Jones.

Handre Pollard is still an excellent auxiliary fullback. And it’s such an important part of a Springbok flyhalves role. No surprise so many Bok flyhalves also play fullback… Pollard ironically the exception. 10/15: - Sacha F-M - Manie Libbok - Quan Horn - Jordan Hendrikse

Incredibly sad news. A constant reminder to check on the loved ones around you. Big or small, every little thing helps. Rest in peace, Jayden 🇿🇦

Heartbreaking news. South Africa international and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams has sadly passed away at the age of 2,5, @SundayWorldZA confirm. 💔🇿🇦 Adams recently made his World Cup debut with South Africa and played a key role in Mamelodi Sundowns’ successful CAF Champions League campaign. Two weeks ago, Adams lost his grandmother Marianna Adams but demonstrated remarkable professionalism by featuring for Bafana Bafana in their World Cup match against Czechia. Our condolences and thoughts go out to his family, friends, teammates, and everyone at Mamelodi Sundowns. Rest in peace, Jayden. 🕊️

I would not be entirely surprised if (replacement hooker) Jan-Hendrik Wessels came on for Steenekamp instead of Marx. Not because Steenekamp has been poor, but with Nche going off after 9 mins EITHER Steenekamp goes 71mins or Marx goes 80mins.

🇿🇦 17 - 0 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (17 mins) Ruthless performance so far. Easy to overlook the challenges that come with losing Etzebeth + Kolisi shortly before the game. & losing Ox Nche after 9 mins. Springboks playing with great intensity and Libbok pulling the strings nicely. Really elegant.

Mbokazi has a massive future ahead of him 🇿🇦 Chicago Fire are going to struggle to hold onto him… 20 years-old, left footed, progressive passer, and an aggressive defender. Could see him doing well in La Liga 🇪🇸

I, for one, would like to hear a Peter Drury speech go along the lines of “Out of Hluhluwe. Out of Zululand. Onto the world’s stage.” But I’d also selfishly like to see him try pronounce Hluhluwe properly.
