@RailwaySeva Allotting senior citizens UB and keeping SL for Double profit. Who wl take responsibility if the baby fall from upper birth? We requested tte for exchange but not taken any step till now.

In the computerised reservation system of Indian Railways, there is a provision for allotting lower berth automatically to senior citizens and female passengers above the age of 45 years./pregnant women. It is, however, subject to availability of such lower berths at the time of booking. In the trains also, ticket checking staff is authorised to allot lower berths falling vacant to such senior citizens who have been allotted middle/upper berth due to non-availability of lower berths at the time of booking. It is also informed that at the time of booking reserved tickets through internet, there is a provision to opt for booking only if lower berth is available. In such case ticket shall be booked only if lower berth is available.

Travelling by 12301 express.All 5 seats upper & side upper. Those all side lower are RAC.Senior citizen 66 and 3yrs old child travelling till New Delhi. What is the system??? It's very careless system. How can we rest with child at UB ? @RailMinIndia @RailwaySeva @EasternRailway

@RailwaySeva All lower birth were kept for business purposes shamelessly that's why all SL are RAC. We booked 5 tkt. Not 1/2 and that too 2months ago.
