I met a guy on Facebook marketplace while trying to buy an Ohtani card. He told me his life changed course on April 3 so I said please explain.
Said he was down to his last $15 and wanted to buy some sleeves at Gamestop for his cards at home. At checkout he finds out it's buy 2 get 1 free! There's a pack of baseball on the counter, so he throws it in

Topps publishes their odds online. Getting a "red ink auto" from a fat pack is 1 in 5,099. Getting Ohtani's is 1 in 581,286. The math says to buy the sleeves, the man on house money doesn't have to listen.
We negotiated a price and when we met up we ended up chilling for a bit. Told me he spent time in prison after making some choices he regrets, got a diploma in there, won a prison basketball championship. Right after he pulled the card he was planning to sell it to buy a bunch of Pokemon and football. Said he changed his mind and was going to renew his license, reactivate his phone, save the rest, maybe a few packs
I bought the card raw and sent it off for grading. A few days ago he texted me from a new number, said he got the phone reactivated. Today the card came back from grading and I shot him a text to let him know. He replied that he could drive over to celebrate.

Never forget that simply being alive is all the proof you need to know that everything always works out. If you can humble yourself enough to really latch onto this idea that it's actually kind of insane to just expect that you'll wake up tomorrow your life will completely change
You'll just constantly start noticing these dumb little instances of luck in your day to day. Ask the front desk guy if he has a screwdriver you can borrow. Rummages through the top few drawers to no avail only to pull one out last second from the bottom one. Pull up to a spot and find out it's cash only. Touch pockets and somehow there's a $20 in the back left. What a moment to be wearing this particular pair
Happens all the time but you're too stuck in your ways to acknowledge how perfectly atoms have to rearrange just to give you the ability to sigh at outcomes with mild relief. Have to teach your brain to start noticing these things by being genuinely appreciative of your existence. Feel blessed, see good, feel even more blessed, see even more good. Ride the wave and flow state is readily available for you to experience
Now it becomes ok if something doesn't go according to one of your plans because look at how often God has been hooking you up. Perpetual streak of subjective miracles being administered to you week after week. Crazy how hard you're being taken care and you didn't have to lift a finger so what more could you ask for. Overcome anything with a strong spirit knowing that all you have to do is give thanks for seeing another day
