@AndyBoog19 The should do one round robin round followed by 5 weeks of twice a week games. That’s much better for HS teams. It’s really tough to have 3 good starters. Right now their 3rd guy is having to start games instead of closing.

Bizarre but absolute fact about Buchanan: Because of textbook swingers like Austin Finegan (pictured), the Bears have beaten Jensen Hirschkorn (Kingsburg/LSU) and Davis Wilson (Clovis North/Vandy) because they barrel up 92-95 gas. But, give them 75-80mph spinners and trouble.

The 3-game series concept for 5 weeks is discrediting TRAC baseball. It’s exposing lack of pitching depth while yielding scores like 17-16, 13-10, 17-3, 14-2 and 11-10. This is one of the state’s elite leagues, not Little League. Adjust accordingly.

If I heard correctly, Clovis West scored 4 in the 7th and beat Clovis 11-10, so Buchanan alone atop the TRAC at 7-3. Pitching depth a major issue in the TRAC. I don’t ever remember it being like this.

It’s crunch time in prep baseball in final 2 weeks of regular season. Today, in CMAC, Bullard at Sanger. Today, in TRAC, Clovis (6-3, 16-7) at Clovis West (6-4, 11-11) and Buchanan (6-3, 13-10) at Clovis North (5-4, 17-6), which is throwing Vandy commit Davis Wilson.

A high school volleyball team noticed their biggest fan, the school janitor, was always cheering loudly at their games, then waiting alone for free rides home at 1 a.m. So the team came together, raised $9,000, bought him a car, and surprised him with it in front of the entire school. Proof that kindness and humanity are still very much alive. ❤️

There have been 11 quarterbacks to transfer out of Fresno State since Jayden Mandal arrived on campus in the winter of 2022-23. The Clovis native has stayed put because being the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs is what he grew up hoping for. kmph.com/sports/content…
