#OnThisDay 1972: Britain's unofficial egg eating champion demonstrated his skills.
If you're a bit squeamish - if you struggled with the egg-eating scenes in Rocky or Cool Hand Luke, for example - you'll probably want to give this clip a miss.

R1M Week 8: Derby 31-30 Burton: Crazy game. crazy ending and far too much going on for me to be able to write here – check either sides pages for the game commentary! @BurtonRFC went ahead in the 79th min via a pen but @DerbyRugbyClub kicked another a minute later to take the win

I am devastated by this news.
Ed, I'm sorry I never told you how much I admired you as a broadcaster and as a man. Well, it wasn't like that between us, was it.
Condolences to Sue and your family.
Sport has lost an iconic voice, I have lost a very dear friend.
Goodbye Edward.

R1M Week 2: Derby 20-17 Nuneaton: 2 tries for @DerbyRugbyClub and Lewis Hancock not enough for a HT lead with @thenuns 10-12 up after 2 tries themselves. Nuns went 10-17 up with a 3rd try before Hancock completed his hat-trick and Josh Bingham won it with a con and last min pen

Our local rugby club where our son started playing. A fantastic community club, decimated by floods for the 3rd time in so many years. Can't help thinking that flood defences installed at great cost to protect the city causes this, water has to go somewhere. Very sad.
