@yalldntknome202 It's an up and down thing for me. Like with most teams I'm waiting for everyone to settle in. I think their offensive ceiling is probably like top 2-3 but they'll likely land 3-5. So much of it comes down to who gets minutes who doesn't and if Paige can be consistently assertive.

@alknowsstuff @jennifer_wnba Expected value than an idle pass to someone who has to create their own shot. A get ahead pass in transition will have a higher expected value than a pass to a close-out on a 3. Lots of scenarios like this, but I think that's more important than just "adding more people" imo

The most notable one, is the quality of the pass that leads to an assist, and you can break that down(roughly) by expected points on different types of passes. A pass to a cutter near a rim will have a higher...(1/2)

Ok, so I just went and double checked the numbers on this. Per Across The Timeline, there have been 4,645 point/rebound double doubles in the WNBA regular season, and only 467 point/assist double doubles. That mean for every 9.95 pt/reb dbl/dbl, you get ONE pt/ast dbl/dbl. Nutty.

@Omahawk402 Just the total amount each season? 50 in 2024, and 54 in 2025. Notably, there were 4 more games per team in 2025, so 52 more opportunities per player(kinda).

@babs_aka_w Good idea. I’ll think about it. I’m slightly hesitant to make those kinds of judgements this early in the season just because the sample sizes are so small, but if I find the time ill look at what we can take away from what we’ve seen.

@mofaya_ We went from 11th to 7th from 2024 to 2025. Our starting point right now is 8th. Keep in mind that there’s been a league wide inflation in ORTG this season with more fouls being called of about 3 points/100, which basically is exactly what our DRTG has dropped by. We’re fine.

Overall our offensive ability is too good that if our defense can at least be top 6-8, we have a team that's capable of going all the way this year.
I've looked at the rest of the field, they might look better on paper but they're not that far off on the court.

@SheaSerrano Ok, so it’s crazy how you can understand nuance and sample size for your team, but not for CC. CC hits a buzzer beater to send the game to OT but she can’t hit shots when it matters. CG MISSES the go ahead shot and gets bailed out by a jump ball for a second chance. (1/2)
