On 6 October 2023, there was quiet. On 7 October 2023, Hamas committed a brutal and senseless terrorist attack taking the lives of over 1200 Israelis and taking 250 hostages. 12 months later, 101 of those innocent civilians are still held hostage by Hamas. So many lives - Israeli and Palestinian- have been lost and impacted in the last 12 months, putting hopes of peace increasingly further from reach. For now, the hostages need to come home and Hamas needs to be eradicated. We need to maintain moral clarity. On this day, I share in your grief.
