Well, no. We did lose a lot, but not 95%.. hell 95% of history was never written down because for most of human history writing didnt exist, or was a privilege of the wealthy - so only the wealthy decided what to write down. Its the existence of classes that has lost our history.

You say this but the USSR and China were the main imperialist forces and neither is too king to the feminine man even to this day. If the US and UK had colonized the world it would be more pro gay than it is today by far. These are the nations that used their moral compass and trade powers to end slavery... where communist nations had gulags.

I enjoy the proper framing of a "colonial era law". People don't realize just how much homophobia has been forced on much of the world. Queer liberation is intertwined with battling colonialism and imperialism.
