Xcode on my iPad. Yes, really. Headless Mac mini running Xcode in the corner. The AI writes code, I check the simulator from my iPad through Workbench whenever I want. Demo 👇

Yesterday: iPad demo Today: iPhone demo Same headless Mac mini setup, but now you can manage AI agents from your pocket. Here’s a quick demo of how I remotely connect from anywhere with my iPhone to monitor what’s happening, and take over when needed

What I actually use Workbench for on my headless Mac mini: Most of the time it's just running AI agents and long jobs in the background. But today an agent got stuck on a login page. Had to jump in from my iPad and fix it. That's why remote access matters. Not just for starting jobs, but for when things break.

@timothyachumba the @Astropad team is *that* good. one of the best indie Mac devcos in the game, right up there with Panic and Cultured Code. first hit my radar when I was running the Minneapolis Product Hunt meetup a decade ago and they’re a crown jewel of that scene, imo.

Workbench is by far the easiest, most stress free way to gain remote access to a Mac from another device. Period. I've tried a range of different Remote Desktop apps over the past few months, mainly because I love working on my iPad but need access to apps and services I can only access on my Mac. I've tried Screens 5 and Jump Desktop in combination with BetterDisplay to try and match the iPad's resolution. They all kinda worked but each had their own kinks. Workbench setup on the other hand was seamless... almost native.

Running AI agents on a headless Mac Mini? You still need to see what's happening. Check logs, restart stuck tasks, monitor outputs. So we built Astropad Workbench. High-performance remote desktop for Mac, works on iPad and iPhone. Built for the AI era. astropad.com/product/workbe…

Headless Mac mini + iPad is a very good combo for managing AI agents. Here’s a quick demo of how I remotely connect, monitor what’s happening, and take over when needed from my iPad

@albertkinng @Tailscale @openclaw Yep, Workbench is an all-in-one solution for your setup (no extra networking tools needed). It's useful when your agent gets stuck/ needs approval - do a quick check-in from your phone, send voice input commands, etc. You can try it free for 20 min/ day if you want to compare 👀

@Astropad I want to understand the difference before downloading this. I use @Tailscale and my screenshare app of choice to access my Mac for a long time and do everything for free, and with @openclaw I use AI for every need. What is workbench? Is it an all-in-one app?

Did you know your current screen protector is making your phone WORSE? We just wrapped up lab tests on iPhone 17’s new anti-reflective coating and how it behaves with screen protectors 👀 The big takeaway: iPhone 17’s loses its AR effect once you put a screen protector on.

So, apparently your screen protector might be WORSE for your iPhone 17... Apple’s "Ceramic Shield 2" adds a built-in anti-reflective coating, cutting reflections by about half vs iPhone 16... 🪩 But a standard screen protector BLOCKS the anti-reflective layer’s contact with air, doubling glare and reducing outdoor clarity, according to @Astropad. 🤔 Anti-reflective-coated protectors like Astropad’s "Fresh Coat" avoid this by replacing the native anti-reflective layer and can drop reflectivity to 1% for sharper outdoor visibility. 📱 I may have to give these Astropad screen protectors a try. 👀

After a year of development and countless prototypes, we’re finally ready to share Fresh Coat — our new anti-reflective screen protector for iPhone. We wanted to launch this a year ago but I'm glad we took the extra time, because we nailed it! Fresh Coat reduces reflections: 📱 3× compared to a bare iPhone 🪟 4× compared to standard glass protectors We even built a custom jig to measure it side-by-side — the results for photography blew us away. If you shoot photos on iPhone, this is a game-changer. Link in the next tweet
