This alcohol seed was meant to be, the end of this demon spawn in me But I’m not sure if I can… Just being a young lass in this town, more days just having to bear down Dingy and dirty taverns these men work, reeking of wine and sawdust as they lurk  Most were harmless and playful, passing out in the nearest stable  Chivalry in this teenage century,  clearly extinct just like my sensory  For when I saw him… I could hardly breath nor talk, the most I could do was walk Forgetful of his name, I knew his fame  A master bookbinder of the west side, an unmarried man, I yearned to be his bride  Though I was decently well off, a silk weaver was a bit of a scoff  For a man of his stature,  I’d have to be much grander And so it began… Rumors of a pythoness in our ward, though meeting her could cause myself discord  As we spoke on a cheerful afternoon,  what ensued was nothing short of a lost boon The paganist gave only once chance, then and there to make a final stance… Pay in silk and coin filling her gold dish, And she’ll get Azazel to grant my wish  And grant he did… Within a year I was married, to the bookbinder, now Mrs. Cary  Life had been grand… until his felt hand Now that I’m eating for two, a blessing not meant to be blue There’s something afoul, my insides feel hollow  There’s no connection to the baby, no morning sickness, no feeling achy As tears streak down my cheek I realize the trick was on another level, as It’s not my baby, I’m just a vessel  for.. when i close my welled up sullen eyes,  I can see his tail protruding from inside  12th century silk weaver  Michael J

there he stood arms open wide no judgement passed with tenderness abound & a look of pride in his eyes, watching her metamorphosis into a brave resilient butterfly with no more need to hide, just an eternal home amid his embrace immeasurable love & sanguine blissful smiles.
