saw a video of someone who was filming a 'travel to the village with me' vlog and suddenly she is running from kidnappers. like she recorded herself running to hide in the bushes with other passengers, then said the passengers in the bus in front of her were all abducted. someone in the comments replied that his mom and brother were in that bus and they are in custody of the kidnappers, who are asking for N10m ransom each. what kind of failed state are we living in?

Seen a bunch of tweets seeming to suggest the Kebbi incident is the first shocking school abduction since Chibok. Do people have short memories or what? Between December 2020 and July 2021, we had at least three to four Chibok-level school abductions. We lost the plot since.

In the past 10 years, exact attacks like this have happened hundreds of times across (mostly) the Middle Belt and Northern Nigeria. Journalists and news articles kept reporting it as "clashes". A clash means two sides are fighting. It's not a clash when it's only one side doing the attack.
