This is my first notebook that I kept for my WIP. I used to write down every date that I wrote and what my final word count was for the day. I showed this off to my writing group last night, because I get so sentimental when I think about it.

There is an invisible strength in kindness.

A few days ago, my husband videoed me walking with my Nordic poles. A year into Parkinson’s, walking takes focus, patience, and courage. Frozen gait has humbled me, slowed me, and changed me but I’m still walking. Slowly. Wobbly. Gratefully. Every step is a gift. ❤️

On the first morning of the new year, I sat by the window watching birds at the feeder, drinking coffee, and reading a poem three things best done slowly. Slowness has become a kind teacher for me. May your new year hold quiet pockets filled with beauty, attention, and grace.❤️

57years married today. Sandy and I met on a blind date when I was 18 and a college freshman and we’ve been together ever since. His kindness,humor, strength and love carry us now as we face Parkinson’s together. Would I marry him again? In a heartbeat. Happy anniversary, my love.
