@thejaiwolf if an AS B6 merger happened theyd be forced to keep the busses a fleet and network of that size and geography would practically require fleet diversity, no airline would make it with just one type

but we all know how much AS love Airbus aircraft. gonna retrofit the entire B6 side to 737s or finally swallow Boeing pride and actually fly Airbus Aircraft? they’re keeping the HA A330s for now, but only time will tell on what will replace them. History shows that they’ll get replaced, as what happened with all VA aircraft after acquisition.

depending on who ya listen to, beginning of next week is when some airlines will have to make some choices regarding routes that don't math out at $90+ oil. That decision coincides with the calendar, as it were for adding/subtracting some summer flying-- "last opportunity to seamlessly do so" or words to that effect. Even if it's anticipated (and I think it is) that fuel price will -not- actually stay at current levels into the summer.
