@thelazyDM I use mold earth to create a wall between us with a small 6" by 6" hole in it. As the the GC moves throught the gap I cut it every 6"s and carefully gather them up in separate bags to sell a familiars to unwitting travellers

@symatt To build a character ready for play mechanically speaking I prefer quick character building. Having said that games like traveller that include a 'this is your life' minigame to expand in the basic character are always fun.
