Visitors flock to Lake Cochise to view thousands of migratory sandhill cranes roosting there Thurs. The lake is just five minutes away from the free Wings Over Willcox Nature Expo, underway through Sun. Nearly 40k sandhill cranes are in SE AZ now. Best seen at dawn, & after noon.

A suspected rabid fox that attacked a man today near the Florida Canyon Trailhead, Santa Rita Experimental Range. Victim uninjured, fox at large. Area popular w/birders, hikers. If seen call 623-236-7201 ASAP, clear area, seek shelter. If in direct contact with get ER treatment.

A possibly rabid fox today on the Florida Canyon Trail, Santa Ritas. The fox would not yield the trail to hikers, was undeterred by trekking poles & pursued them when they retreated. Hikers unhurt. If seen call 623-236-7201 ASAP, leave area, seek shelter, get MD treatment if hurt
