Mirrored Solitude
Captured in the quiet wilderness of Iceland, this moment unfolded in near perfect stillness. A lone white farmhouse rests beneath dark volcanic mountains, while the water below holds their reflection with quiet precision, turning the landscape into a mirror of light and shadow. The last warmth of the day drifted across the grass and ridgelines, brushing the land with a gentle glow before fading into the cool tones of the mountains.
Standing there felt like stepping outside of time. The air was still, the water unmoving. In that silence the land felt vast and ancient, and for a moment I was simply a small presence within it.
1/11 Here is my story...... I take photos because it is how I slow the world down.
I have never been interested in loud images or perfect moments. I am drawn to quiet scenes. The ocean early or late. Empty streets. Places where nothing is asking for attention.
Instead of speed scrolling through the feed why not slow down.
Stop at those jpg’s that people have carefully composed, spent countless hours on. Poured their heart and soul into.
Drop a nice comment, a like, anything.

A little appreciation goes a long way, especially to those smaller fish.
The pond may not be large but there are a lot of big fish that capture the most attention
See that little guy on top of the massive dune, that’s how I feel.
But with grit and determination I will prevail

This is where we ran. Where we laughed. Where we played. Where we waited for nothing in particular, just happy to be there. Now, it’s all still, the swing set quiet, the court untouched, one light bravely glowing as if holding on for someone to return.
Network Remains - a new memecard
Civilisation faded, slowly reshaped by time and nature. But the system didn’t. Tracks remain. Signals persist. The network is still alive. It connects what remains and runs without question. Always on. Always waiting.
This piece began as a photograph on location in Sydney city, pushed into a dystopian future where the world has softened and shifted, yet something deeper continues to run beneath it.
The tracks and signals suggest a system that no longer depends on us. It persists quietly, routing through a landscape that has moved on. There is no urgency here, no chaos, only continuation.
It raises a simple question. If the network outlives the world that created it, what is it still waiting for?
I’ll be honest, I can feel the hesitation sometimes. I’m not sure if it’s me, the work, or just where I sit in all of this.
But I don’t see it as a wall anymore, I see it as part of the process. Trust takes time and connection takes time.
I’m still here, still building, still learning, still showing up every day. And when it clicks, it will mean something real.
This is going to be one of the hardest art threads on X.
