Prashant Jain on FII selling - > 2 years back FIIs were selling because Indian markets were expensive. > Last year they were selling because India didn't have an AI story, and money moved to Korea, Taiwan, Japan, US. > Just a couple of months back, they were selling because of Iran situation, oil issue, because currency falls and they lose money. > Reasons keep changing. I am not worried about it. > Local flows are so strong, they absorb FII selling. > Often, the best time to buy is when foreigners are selling.

In India, term plans are a tough sell because people don't see money coming back. ULIP sell faster because they offer both insurance and an investment story. Higher payout also make ULIP a bigger push for many agents.

@BaluGorade Personally I also hesitate to buy term insurance policy because there is no transparency and don't know what happens if any new clause comes in the policy.Insurares always sees their benefit before customer.

Vijay Kedia's take on US investing: Indians can invest up to $250,000 abroad. Yet, he believes for most retail investors, US investing has become more of a fashion than a necessity. Aap Indian market samajh nahi sakte, to US market kaise samjhoge? 😁 Even his own exposure is tiny. He bought Google, which delivered 3-4x returns. He also bought MakeMyTrip, which moved up but later gave back gains. He also feels US markets are overheated. Many companies are already worth trillions of dollars. A lot of excitement around valuations. (Recent NDTV Profit interview, Worth watching.)
