@NaturalCal @Adeoye1992 @Goodluc52197131 Whether home-based Athletes can qualify for World Champs at World Relays is a separate question, but of course it will be Nigeria’s best available going to Gaborone regardless of location. If AFN takes 2 pronged approach with qualifiers in Nigeria & USA all 6 teams should qualify

@NaturalCal @Adeoye1992 @Goodluc52197131 Just looked at all the current qualifying times for Top 24 in each - I think 5 out of 6 can qualify with home-based Athletes (like mixed 4x1), men’s 4x1 being the exception & possibly men’s 4x4. There’ll be 2 MTN CHAMPS meets in March where there may be qualification attempts…!

Kudos to the team at MoC led by our Oga @bambostic. The team has literally spent the last few days calculating the different scenarios for the Super Eagles to guarantee a playoff spot & pushing out the info asap We “invoked” this! 🙌 #NGABEN #SoarSuperEagles #worldcupqualifiers

How can the Super Eagles of Nigeria finish as one of the four best second place teams, should South Africa defeat Rwanda? They have to beat Benin 🇧🇯 by at least 4-0 in Uyo today.

In this concluding part of our special feature on the Jamaica Observer, our Founder @bambostic talks about meeting the legendary MVP Track Club head coach , Paul Francis, who had some words of advice on how to operate a successful Track Club. “He wasn’t the head coach then, but he was obviously already involved as a coach then, and he told us very clearly that, ‘This is not government-led; this is private-led, and it’s not going to happen if people, privately, don’t decide that..." Bambo noted. Click on this link to read Part 4 of this story. #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">jamaicaobserver.com/2024/09/25/nig…

Here's part 3 of our special feature on the Jamaica Observer - @bambostic gives more insights on @mtnchamps in the last two seasons: "This has the potential to change the face of track and field in Nigeria; it has the potential to change the face of track and field globally," he said. "You know, in all my travels over the last decade, anytime I travelled to Jamaica, USA, anywhere else in the Caribbean, people always told me, ‘Nigerians, if you [only] knew what you have." jamaicaobserver.com/2024/09/24/par…

@Ola37972638 @MakingOfChamps @JDuru2010 I've lived in South Africa so I'm well aware of how South Africans think. He has a South African mother and he's lived in South Africa all his life, he will be just fine...and now he's a World U20 Champion for SA - he will be celebrated there as a Global Champion for them!

@JDuru2010 @MakingOfChamps Why are you worried? Looks like he's on his way to become a big star in Athletics..very soon he won't need MoC to publicize him. Why would you be worried for him? He was born in South Africa, grew up there and now is 3rd fastest U20 globally in 2024 after just 1 year of training!

Back from the Olympic Games, after representing Nigeria in two relay events in Paris, MoC's Emmanuel Ojeli had some words of advice for the new athletes joining the MoC Academy "When I started my career, there wasn't much support until MoC came in. The journey has been tough but I have been pulling through. Stay focused and always listen to your coach. " I prepare my mind before training. I just want to encourage you all. I have seen you all train and I can see future Olympic medalists.

@Dike1994 @MakingOfChamps The problem is that you think making the Olympics and not winning a medal is the same as getting an F9 in WAEC? That's a very unfortunate way of framing things and highlights why we often don't make progress..because we criticize those making progress instead of celebrating them!
