The Red Arrows have always been a symbol of British pride and excellence. Seeing the world-famous formation reduced from 9 aircraft to 7 because of ageing jets feels painfully symbolic of the wider decline we’re watching across the country.

Why don’t they have video pictures of people burning and screaming on weather maps being prodded by tridents wielded by demons from hell?

Maresca and his agent have been linking and leaking on City since January. Been talking to other clubs in recent weeks as Pep agonised over a decision. This leak may have been to apply pressure and not what it may seem. Maresca overplayed his hand at Chelsea playing games.

Viaja was the one leaking all that info to push the chairman to fire Pep. Pep wants to stay and extend contract. Viana needs to go
