Saudi Arabia, with fewer than 35 million people, has 84,000–94,000 MW of electricity capacity. Nigeria, with over 240 million people, struggles with just 4,000–5,000 MW. Dear Adelabu, if you fear God, you won't even think of visiting the Holy Mosque in Mecca to worship. Be wise enough to realize that God is angry with you and Bola Tinubu for plunging Nigeria into unprecedented darkness. Mugu!

LETTER OF REJECTION Her Excellency President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo President of the United Mexican States Palacio Nacional, Plaza de la Constitución S/N, Colonia Centro, Alcaldía Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06066, Ciudad de México, México. Subject: Concerns Regarding the Appointment of Mr. Reno Omokri as Nigeria’s Ambassador Your Excellency, I write to express my serious concerns regarding the appointment of Mr. Reno Omokei as Nigeria’s ambassador to your country. Based on his publicly documented conduct and long-standing behaviour, I believe he is not qualified to represent Nigeria, and that his acceptance could pose significant risks to diplomatic relations between our two nations. Mr. Omokri has exhibited a pattern of instability and shifting loyalties, often prioritizing his own interests over principled conduct. His public record raises reasonable concerns about the potential for actions that could compromise the integrity of diplomatic engagement. To illustrate, prior to and during the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, Mr. Omokri was a vocal critic of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He participated in demonstrations, made strong statements on social media questioning Tinubu’s fitness to govern, and disparaged the President’s health and personal character. Among his public claims, he questioned Tinubu’s academic credentials, alleged involvement in drug-related activities, and labelled him as corrupt. Publicly available links to some of his statements include: His appointment has also faced significant protest within Nigeria from citizens, civil society organisations, and commentators, all of whom questioned his suitability for a diplomatic role. Despite these objections, the Nigerian Presidency proceeded with his nomination, prompting further concern. Additionally, Mr. Omokri has demonstrated a tendency toward ingratiation with those in positions of power. Such behaviour suggests a risk that he may exaggerate or misrepresent information to the host government to gain favour, potentially undermining trust and diplomatic accuracy. In light of the foregoing, I respectfully advise your office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to exercise caution regarding the acceptance of his letter of credence. His record raises serious concerns about discretion, reliability, and professionalism, all of which are fundamental to the role of an ambassador. This letter is submitted purely out of patriotism and concern for the integrity of diplomatic relations between our countries. I remain available to provide additional documentation or links to Mr. Omokri’s public statements upon request. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yours sincerely, VOBIENYEM Valentine Obienyem Cc: The Secretary of Foreign Affairs (Secretario de Relaciones Exteriores) Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) Avenida Juárez 20, Colonia Centro, Alcaldía Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06010, Ciudad de México, México. #Copied

Mr @OgbeniDipo said he stopped supporting Buhari because Buhari failed to protect Benue, Southern Kaduna and the rest of Nigerians. Surprisingly, he didn’t criticize nor stop supporting Tinubu after three years of failing to protect Nigerians in these same locations, and more. All of a sudden, it’s no longer the responsibility of the President to protect the people. Now, it’s supposedly the responsibility of Imams to protect the North, and not the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. There is only one reason you stopped supporting Buhari and you know!

People under my BUA comments are actually funny 😄 I’m not unemployed. I work in the pension industry and I’m doing well for myself. I’ve built solid experience in this field and I still get proposals from other PFAs just that I don’t want to move. My salary is decent, my work environment is good, and I genuinely enjoy what I do especially marketing. The only downside is the constant targets and pressure that come with it. In sha Allah, I’ll be moving on from the pension industry soon.

📌📌📌📌📌📌📌 Dear @A_Salkida aka Danny I have read your epistle and I agree with you 100% But to who is this addressed? I am just curious All you fake activists and security “experts” of the 2015-2023 class are so scared to mention @officialABAT and his regime in your post You wouldn’t have written this in 2015-2023 without inserting the name of President Buhari or General Buratai Me ke farawu ne?

Blaming victims in the Boko Haram conflict distorts reality and weakens response. Boko Haram is not an external invading force. It emerged from within, shaped by grievances and hardened by an intolerant ideology. That distinction matters. It means communities are not just bystanders; they are trapped inside the conflict. Across the North East, in the past 16 years, civilians have supported military operations at great personal risk. The pattern is clear. Troops deploy, locals cooperate. Then the troops withdraw. Insurgents return. Communities are punished. Mass killings, beheadings, executions for alleged collaboration. You cannot ask unarmed villagers to stand up to insurgents when the state cannot sustain protection. Here is the hard truth: - Civilians are being exposed without long-term security cover - Military presence is too thin for the conflict landscape and population size - Intelligence is fragmented and underutilised in battlefield decisions. The implication is severe. You create cycles of retaliation. You discourage cooperation. You strengthen insurgent control through fear. This is not just a Nigerian military problem. It is a Nigerian systems failure. What needs to change: - Scale intelligence-driven operations, not just troop deployments - Integrate DSS deeply into field operations, not as an afterthought or as they are being involved in politics and VIP protection - Strengthen military intelligence for real-time decision making - Align force levels with the scale of territory and threat - Stop blaming communities. They are not the weak link. They are the most exposed part of this war. - Reduce the transactional culture in recruiting and promoting security personnel. Create real incentives for them to serve and fight. Improve welfare. Provide consistent psychosocial support. Recognise performance in visible ways. Ensure full and timely payment of gratuities and pensions at retirement.

Nigeria’s Worrisome Terrorism status The latest Global Terrorism Index report ranks Nigeria among the most terrorized nations in the world, showing one of the highest increases in deaths from terrorism. This is a painful indictment of failed leadership. While many countries are seeing a decline in terrorism, Nigeria is moving in the opposite direction. This trend is a direct result of misplaced priorities, weak governance, corruption, a lack of rule of law, and the persistent neglect of security, which is the government's most fundamental duty. From the insurgency of Boko Haram to the growing threat posed by the Islamic State West Africa Province, the crisis of kidnapping, and unchecked violence in our rural communities by heavily armed bandits, Nigerians are dying daily while those in power continue to feast. What is the purpose of government if it cannot protect lives? Why are we normalizing tragedy while other nations make progress? This is not the Nigeria we should accept. We cannot continue down this path. It is time to move from excuses to action, and from failure to measurable progress. A safe and secure Nigeria is not too much to ask; it is the right of every citizen, and it must be delivered. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

A video that has recently gone viral alleges that the @sultan_ofsokoto recently met with President @officialABAT and asked a simple question: If Nigeria needs a U.S. military base… why must it be in the North? Now hold that thought. Because a day or so later, Education Minster, @DrTunjiAlausa, on a UK trip with the President, is announcing below a partnership between his ministry, @NigEducation, and Coventry University to award UK degrees… in Nigeria. Location? Alaro, Lekki. Lagos. So let’s get this straight: One region gets foreign universities. Another gets proposed foreign military bases. Opportunity vs occupation. Books vs boots. Degrees vs drones. And no, this isn’t about Coventry University. That debate can wait. This is about a pattern. A pattern where development flows in one direction… And strategic burdens are shipped to another. Where Lagos gets foreign universities. The North gets foreign military bases. Coincidence? Maybe. But patterns, when repeated often enough, stop being accidents. They become policy. And the real tragedy? Other #Nigerian regions are too busy with petty politics to notice. And #Arewa, once the loudest political voice in the room, now watches in silence. Compromised. Muted. Managed. Docile. Absent. #AllahGaMuGareka
Dr. Tunji Alausa@DrTunjiAlausa

I’m in London with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and we are already making real progress — advancing a major partnership with Coventry University to bring UK degrees to Nigeria. This is personal. For too long, families have had to send their children thousands of miles away in search of quality education. We are changing that. With Coventry University Nigeria, our students will be able to earn fully accredited UK degrees — at significantly lower cost — without leaving the country. As I’ve said, we want Nigerian parents to enjoy having their children at home, while still receiving a world-class UK education. The proposed campus in Alaro City, Lagos will offer Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes across STEMM, Business, and TVET, with admissions expected between Q3 and Q4 of 2026 (subject to approvals). Beyond access, this is about building Nigeria’s human capital — developing the skills, talent, and workforce needed to drive innovation, productivity, and long-term national growth. We are bringing global opportunity home — where it belongs. #alausaedureform #NoDaysOff
